Fixing stuff around yourself
“Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”
George Bernard Shaw
Is not it paradoxical behavior that we want to change the world but we don’t want to change ourselves don’t want to fix our area of improvement. We don’t want to fix our surroundings. Weirdly, our own room and even a workbench need to be fixed.
Nancy Fernandes said that
“Focus on fixing yourself first”
The chance or opportunity and that Amal Academy give me to start with yourself I learned from this platform that
1- Knowing yourself
2-Believe in yourself
3- Fix yourself first
4- Lead without authority
5-Take responsibilities
6- Kindness and politeness are not overrated
I was sitting in my room, everything around me was in its place. The room looked beautiful, but on the table next to me, some things like books, files, prayer mats, bags, and laptops were scattered and strangely cluttered. Books, files, prayer mats, bags, and laptops had to be neatly arranged so that they looked attractive. At first, I put them on the table but their clutter did not diminish. Then I put them on the shelf above. Folded all the registers in the middle, Urdu books placed on the left, and English books on the right. Fold the bags around the sides of the table, put the laptop in the middle, and put the rest of the items in a certain order.
I share before and after pictures of this experience by collage.
“We all make mistakes, have struggles, and even regret things in our past. But you are not your mistakes, you are not your struggles, and you are here NOW with the power to shape your day and your future.”
― Steve Maraboli
Now I understand that sometimes small things mean a lot and give you life lessons.
“If you cannot do great things, do small things in a great way.”
